  • There are two regular bus lines from the hotel to the city center: N.3 and N.21.

WORKSHOP LOCATION:

Mallorca, the largest of the five Balearic Archipelago islands, is a natural bridge between Menorca and Ibiza. It has a whole extension of 3,640 km2, limited by 500 km of coast. Throughout its whole history, several cultures have modelled a unique heritage that will offer the visitor nearly all the different aspects of the Latin world. The almost mythical landscapes of the island were inhabited in turn by Carthaginians, Romans and Arabs, providing an exotic mixing of architecture, gastronomy and culture. Landscapes show a notorious variety: the sharpen mountains of the Tramuntana heavily contrast with the vast central plain, soft hills of the llevant and the marvellous succession of cliffs, coves, bays, and sandy beaches which shape one of the most frequented coasts of the whole Mediterranean sea.
More information about Mallorca should be found in the Web site.

SOCIAL EVENT:

The workshop social program will begin with a visit to Son Marroig, a palace located on the Tramuntana Mountains where Archiduch Luis Salvador lived during the last years of 19th century. After enjoying the wonderful landscape of the Mediterranean sea, the trip will continue with a visit to Sa Cartoixa, a monastery located in Valldemossa, a picturesque village placed also in the Tramuntana Mountains. The famous pianist Frederich Chopin and the writer George Sand spent two months in Sa Cartoixa and the rooms where they lived can be visited. Following this, the attendees will be invited to participate in a relaxing dinner in the restaurant Ses Cases de Sa Font Seca.
Buses will leave the Hotel Nixe Palace at 16:00 and return there after dinner.
