Getting to Bari

By Airplane Bari is served by the Karol Wojtyla Airport (BRI), located approximately 8 km northwest of the city center. Daily international flights connect Bari to major hubs such as London, Munich and Paris. There are also frequent domestic connections from Rome and Milan.

Shuttle Train: The airport is connected to the Bari Centrale railway station by a direct train service (Ferrotramviaria). The journey takes about 15–20 minutes.
Bus: The “Tempesta” shuttle bus also connects the airport to Bari Centrale. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
Taxi: Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall.

By Train The main railway station is Bari Centrale, located in the heart of the city (Piazza Aldo Moro). It is a major hub with frequent high-speed (Frecciarossa/Italo) connections from Rome, Milan, and Bologna.

Getting from Bari to Polignano a Mare

By Train From Bari Centrale, you can take a regional train (Trenitalia) directly to Polignano a Mare. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, and trains run frequently throughout the day. Tickets can be purchased at the station machines or online via the Trenitalia website.
